who is this guy?

I’m Sean, studying Computer Science with a dual degree in Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I’m a (semi-retired) competitive programmer, NLP enthusiast, and theoryhead! In linguistics, I’m mostly interested in digital humanities, especially ancient languages. I currently am conducting research at the CPHL group under Professor Tandy Warnow. In Summer 2024, I was busy improving the markets as a software enginner intern at Optiver.

I’m a bilingual native speaker in both Mandarin Chinese and English, and can hold a conversation in Japanese; I’ve also taken a semester of Hittite from the wonderful Prof. Shosted at UIUC.

What I’ll write here and in what language are both TBD - I hope you’re as excited as I am for what’s to come!
